Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation.
Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I AM the LORD your God. (Num. 10:2-3, 10)
Giving a certain sound, which could be understood as an alarm, or a call to assemble, or a call to praise and worship, the trumpets of silver were not only useful in gathering their large encampment together but also to remind the Israelites of their call before God to purity, holiness, and unity as the people of God. They were to be united in purpose, called to battle, or assembly, or worship, with a bugle of warning or a song of praise. The trumpets themselves were of one piece of silver signifying the purity and unity of God and of the people before Him. The silver trumpets were to give a clear sound that all might understand the alarm, the call to assemble the leaders or the whole camp, or the worship of the people before God.
Today God’s people are to hear the unified call of the Holy Spirit to accomplish His work of missions, ministry, and discipleship as we reach the lost, teach all nations, and preach the Word of God until we hear the trumpet call to join our Saviour in the clouds. We worship in Spirit and in Truth with a clear call to assemble together and rejoice in Him who gave Himself for us that we who have trusted Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary for Salvation and repented of our sins would have eternal life in Him. We give a clear sound of the Gospel from His Word that all might be saved and born again until He signals the final assembly of His Church with Him.
Until that day, God has sent those of us that know Him out into this world to reach the lost that they might be saved from sin. He desires that His people strive to be holy and obedient unto Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our GOD has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.
GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
