And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian. And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD. And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb. And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them. (Gen 25:20-26)
When we are not sure of the direction or plan, we should also intreat of the Lord. He already knows the end from the beginning, and knows the plans He has for us. We are not to lean on our own understanding, but trust completely and wholly in the ways of the Lord. He will reveal to us, but never in conflict with His Word, through the Spirit of GOD, the way He wants us to go to accomplish His Will.
One way we don't have to inquire about, is His command to go, and as we go, proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. He has already commissioned us to take His message of grace with us. He has already commanded us to minister to one another, bearing one another's burdens and so fulfill the Law of Christ. He has already, in both Word and deed, set forth the example of discipleship that we are to follow. We must be about our Father's business, and share His love, mercy and grace with those around us who need to hear of both His judgment of sIn and His provision of peace, and believe in Him.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Turn away from your sIn and unrighteousness and trust what He has already done on that cruel Roman cross. GOD, the Father has provided forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, and is our Life. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life.
In Christ,
