Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of GOD in Christ, the Law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the Law, it is no more of promise: but GOD gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but GOD is one. (Gal 3:16-20)
The seed of the woman is the seed of Abraham. The promise of grace through faith, not only given before the Law, but is the end of the Law for those that believe. In Christ we are made free, at Liberty, not to sIn, but to live in Christ and to do His will and accomplish His work while we are here. We must understand what our sIn cost GOD, in that He gave His only begotten Son for our sIn and to redeem us from the curse of the Law, which cannot save us. The Law was added because of sIn, but Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, has always been the Lamb of GOD that taketh away the sIn of the world.
That is not to say that the Law is abolished or does not have its purpose, for it remains to remind us of sIn, and to point us to Christ, who is the Saviour of all those who are under the Law. The Law is fulfilled in Christ, and He is our rest and our deliverer, in whom we have life, and hope, and peace. We are reconciled with GOD the Father, through faith in the Son, and by the power of the Holy Ghost who has made all those who have placed their faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and repented of their sins new creatures in Christ and born again from above. Now we are under grace instead of the Law, and are His witnesses of the love and mercy He has shed abroad in our hearts.
His gracious love working in us, through His Word, to make us more like Him, to share with others, and to do His will here in this lost and dying world. We are to minister to others, as His ambassadors, so they may see Jesus in us, the hope of Glory. We are to disciple one another in love and in His Word, that all may grow into the full measure of Christ and in grace and knowledge of Him. We are to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, and as we go, tell all who will hear the Gospel, that those who believe may have eternal life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
