Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of GOD, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the Word of life; that I may rejoice in the Day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. (Php 2:14-18)
GOD wants us to enjoy doing His work, though His work in us is not always pleasant as He corrects and chastises, but our work for Him should be, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Since we don't have to do any thing to earn His Salvation, or keep it, but we do His work of ministry and reconciliation out of love for Him, we should be joyful. We should be harmless to those around us, though our message may cause distress, as conviction brings understanding, just as it did for us when heard the Word of Truth until we believed and were born again from above to hear our Father's voice because of our repentance and faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary in our place.
Not working for our salvation but working out what we already have means we run with patience the race that is set before us and look to Jesus as we become more like Him so that we produce fruit that remains, not having run in vain. We seek to remain of one mind and one accord, focusing on His work, the mission and ministry of His Church, not the social gospel which is another gospel, nor trying to bring His Kingdom here on earth, which won't happen until the King returns. We have one work, by the will of the Father, and empowered by the Spirit: we engage and enable people to enjoy Jesus Christ, equipped from His Word, and encouraged by one another in the bond of perfectness until He returns for His own and takes us Home to be with Him.
Until that day we are called to a mission and ministry of meeting the needs of others around us who are hurting and in need, as GOD gives the increase, that they may see Jesus in us, the hope of Glory. Until we are Home with Him, we are commanded to love one another, as members in particular of His body, bearing one another's burdens and discipling one another in and through His Word. Until all have heard and He recalls His ambassadors, we are to be ministers of reconciliation with the Good News of Jesus Christ, and as we go, sharing His Word and the Gospel to all that they might repent of their sins and believe in Him and have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
