Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep Thy Words. I intreated Thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to Thy Word. I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto Thy Testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep Thy Commandments. The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten Thy Law. At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto Thee because of Thy righteous Judgments. I am a companion of all them that fear Thee, and of them that keep Thy Precepts. The earth, O LORD, is full of Thy mercy: teach me Thy Statutes. (Psalms 119:57-64)
Jesus is on every page. He lives in every account. His Glory is evident in every miracle, every deliverance, every command. He tells us to know it. He wants us to cherish it. He commands that we keep it.
From Creation where He spoke the worlds into being with His Word, to His redemptive plan for man as the Word made flesh and given for our sIn, to the precepts and commandments He gave to Israel to show them their need of Grace, and His Law of Grace given and lived through His Church, to His final acts of Judgement by His Word of Power; Jesus, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son is the Living Word. The Scriptures speak of Him, and we praise Him for teaching us of Him throughout each and every verse.
While we love the Scriptures, and seek to know more of Him, we only do so through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. The Truth of Scripture is Spiritually discerned and those that do not know Jesus Christ cannot yet understand the deep meanings and truths He has for us.
But, GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. He wants you to believe Him and receive Him by faith in His finished work on the Cross of Calvary. Trust His Word, and be born again by surrendering to Him on His terms. Jesus loves you and desires to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Stop trying to save yourself and let Him give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. His mercy is extended to you, and is freely offered to you that you may live.
In Christ,
