He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my GOD; in Him will I trust.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him My Salvation. (Psalms 91:1-2, 15-16)
We who are in Christ by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary are secure, not because of anything we do, but because of Christ. Just as our Salvation was accomplished by the work of GOD, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, so is our eternal, abundant and everlasting life secure in, through, and because of Jesus Christ. The Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, has purchased our redemption with His own blood.
We are safe in His arms because we have trusted in Him, and He cannot fail. We have been, are, and will be delivered from the penalty, the power, and the presence of sIn. GOD carries us through times of trouble, chastises us when the trouble is our own making, and guides us to avoid more trouble. GOD honors those that trust and obey. When we do His Will, and obey His Word, GOD blesses us, and we, resting in His promises, are satisfied with and in Him.
We cannot look to this world for blessings, deliverance, or protection. This world, and the things of this world will pass away, and they will not satisfy. Only that which is done in, through and for Christ will last. He commands us to abide and rest, even while we work and wait on (serve) Him, especially in the accomplishment of His great commission to tell everyone the Good News of Salvation in Jesus Christ.
For those without, that are not under His shadow, are under judgment and condemnation, just as we once were. But, GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. Surrender to Him on His terms and be born again. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with Him that is real and personal. Believe His Word and trust Him for forgiveness of your sIn and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Receive His Salvation by faith in Him today.
