moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of GOD made He man. (Gen 9:1-6)And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that
GOD still requires us to keep and obey His commands. We no longer sacrifice because Jesus paid it all with His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, but we are not free to take what is not ours, either property or life. We are free to eat what we choose to, but we cannot eat the blood. We are free to worship GOD on whatever day or all days, but we are not free to ignore Him, or worship our own way, but in Spirit and in Truth. GOD doesn't change, His Word hasn't changed, and the picture of Christ and the shed blood for our sIns GOD is painting in the Scriptures hasn't changed. We must be faithful and obedient to His plans, His purposes, and His Word.
Those of us who know GOD, who are bought with His precious blood shed for our sIns on that cruel Roman cross, are called to be obedient to Him, to proclaim the Good News of Salvation to this lost and dying world. Not as a license to sIn, but as forgiveness and reconciliation to a righteous and Holy GOD who has already judged us all guilty before Him and worthy of death, but paid that sIn debt with His own body on that tree.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Believe His Word and receive Him by faith in what He did for you on the cross, surrendering to Him on His terms, and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Just as Noah now had a new life to live in his new world, so you can have a new life in Christ, with His forgiveness and Salvation.
In Christ,
