Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art GOD. Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. Praise to our GOD, our Creator, Redeemer and King. He who created all things perfect, has provided for our salvation when we rebelled against our Holy GOD and all creation was judged. We who pass as dry grass in a moment when compared to our eternal GOD, receive His righteousness through faith in His finished work on the Cross of Calvary. The eternal Son of GOD who is GOD the Son became a man, and went willingly and humbly to a cruel Roman cross to pay a debt He didn't owe and that we cannot pay for our sIn.
All mankind is under the judgment of GOD, and yet He loves us and sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to be put to death in our place. We who have received Him by Faith in His perfect work and Word have been given eternal life, and we will not be swept away as the unbelievers who will be turned to destruction. That is the Good News that we have to share with everyone.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. The Truth that Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. He is GOD and has every right to require you to be born again, because of your sIn and rebellion against Him. Believe His Word and receive Him, surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting.
Yesterday may be gone, but in Christ you can have a new eternity today.
