And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and besought him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his device that he had devised against the Jews. Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king, And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces: For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred? (Est 8:3-6)
Once again, God steps in to save His people in His time. The Jews are allowed to defend themselves from those who would come against them and so celebrate with gladness of heart and great joy. They recognize that they are delivered from their enemies, although the actual day of the threat has not yet arrived, and that all is well. There is great feasting and joy in their hearts, for God has delivered them from their enemies.
God cares for His people and will deliver them from that which comes against them in His time. Whether He allows that threat to manifest itself or causes it for His purposes, He will also manage His people and protect them. Divine deliverance according to the will of God, while not always manifest with an individual or even a few, will always be according to the plans and purposes of our God and for His good and our growth. Every day can be a feast day in Christ and a day of great joy, for the joy of the Lord is our strength.
We can trust that God will provide and protect His Church and His people. He has provided His Son for our salvation from our sin and from His wrath. He has provided His Word to equip and instruct us. He has provided His Spirit to empower and direct us. And He will provide for all our needs, in His time and by His grace. Just as we trusted Him in faith and repentance and were born again, so we must trust Him in this new life we live in Him. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our service unto Him may not always be easy or pleasant, though it will never be burdensome, but we can rest in Him no matter what may come our way, for we are His children, elected to be adopted into His family, and to grow in Him and be like Christ.
Until He calls us Home, God calls His people to holiness and obedience to Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our GOD has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.
GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
