And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? And He said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto Me from the ground. (Gen 4:6-10)
GOD gave Cain the chance to repent and be delivered, but he instead chose to answer GOD flippantly and with disdain for GOD and Able. We must not approach GOD and His judgment of sIn with an attitude of complacency or misunderstanding, for sIn is sIn and GOD views all sIn as worthy of death. He has already judged all of us as guilty and sentenced all of us to death, in this world and the next. Only through the blood of Jesus Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary can we be saved. That is the Good News of the Gospel we are commanded to take, and as we go proclaim to this lost and dying world, that those that repent and turn from their sIn and to GOD will find forgiveness and Salvation.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with Him that is real and personal. Believe GOD and His Word, surrendering to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD offers to you the free gift of Salvation, receive Him by faith today.
In Christ,
