Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales. And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.(Ezekiel 29:3-5)
We should look well to GOD's condemnation against all these nations around Judah and Jerusalem. When they come against Israel it is when Israel invited it and GOD allowed or directed it because of Israel's disobedience and rebellion. GOD chastises His people, and He judges those that oppose them and Himself. Sin must be paid for. Outright rebellion cannot go unpunished. GOD is just and has pronounced the wages of sIn is death. It is only because of His mercies that we are not consumed, as a nation, a people, a congregation or as individuals.
GOD is not willing that any should perish. He came as a man, and went willingly and humbly to the Cross of Calvary to pay for our sIn. Those of us who know Him, have been forgiven, and have a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Jesus loves you and wants you to believe and receive that same life by Faith in His finished work so you can be born again and have a covenant relationship with Him that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms today.
In Christ,
