Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the Head of the church: and He is the Saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. (Eph 5:22-33)
We are to submit ourselves to those Godly authorities which GOD has placed over us that we glorify Him in our obedience. Those in authority are not to lord it over or rule capriciously but serve in leadership as unto the Lord and for His glory. For those in Christ it is all about Him. He has saved us by our faith in Jesus and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to serve Him, to worship Him, to glorify Him, for He is our Redeemer, Master, and King. He has purchased us out of our sIn by His own blood, He has redeemed us from death and the grave by His grace, and has made us part of His body by His mercy. His love for us is exemplified by His humble obedience to the Father, and we are to show our love for Jesus Christ in humble obedience to Him.
He calls us to obedience, to be doers of His Word and not hearers only. He calls us to live in Him and through Him, lives of righteousness and holiness that reflect Him in our lives. We are to walk in Him, through the indwelling Spirit, changing us from glory to glory, that we might become more like Him in character and practice through His ingrafted Word. As members of His Church we are to be Holy, reflecting the light and glory of our Lord, and His body in this broken and sinful world, not of it but in it as His ambassadors and ministers of reconciliation.
We are His members, placed in the body, His Church, where He wills and for His glory. We are to do His will and His work here until He calls us Home that others may see Jesus Christ, the hope of Glory. As His hands and feet in this lost and dying world we are to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as God provides. As members one of another we are to love one another and disciple one another in His Word that all may grow into the full measure of Him. As His body, we are to follow the Head and go where He leads, and as we go, we are to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every one we meet, that those who hear the Good News of repentance of sIn, and faith in Jesus might believe in Him and have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
