For the LORD, the GOD of Israel, saith that He hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of Hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously. Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied Him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and He delighteth in them; or, Where is the GOD of Judgment? (Malachi 2:16-17)
This section of Malachi was directed to the priests of Israel who had forsaken the holiness that GOD required of His servants. They had put away their wives, and taken wives of the heathen around them. They had profaned the alter with unworthy sacrifices, and disobedient hearts. They had covered violence toward their own in the temple. All of these egregious sins were an affront to a righteous and Holy GOD who requires honesty and integrity in those that are called to positions of service in His house. But even for those not in a titled 'office' are still called to holiness, to a life served in and for GOD. Putting away our spouse when we no longer feel 'in love' in unacceptable to GOD who made us one. Causing violence to another person made in the image of GOD, especially the unborn and helpless is also wearisome to our Creator, it is sIn. We call good evil, and evil good and somehow we try to make it either GODs fault or His doing, neither of which is true.
Where is HE? He is still on the Throne of Heaven. He is still calling all men everywhere to repent. Surrender to Him on His terms and receive the forgiveness that He alone can accomplish in the new life that He gives to all those that believe. Not just that He exists, but that His finished work on the Cross of Calvary is sufficient for your sIns. He said you must be born again. To be saved from the mess you have made of this life and receive by Faith in Him a brand new life in Christ.
Turn away from violence, evil and treachery and turn to the righteousness He requires and will give you through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Don't weary the Lord anymore, for today is the day of Salvation; Now is the appointed time.
If you are already one of His, share His love and grace with others around you that they might be saved.
