And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the Kingdom of our GOD, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our GOD day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (Rev 12:9-12)
The accuser of the brethren is a defeated foe. Death, sIn, and the grave were conquered at the Cross, and those of us who are born again are no longer subjects of the god of this world, but children of our Heavenly King. We do not need to live defeated lifestyles, or in bondage to that which Christ has freed us from. He has overcome this world, the power of the enemy, and we are no longer what we were because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Even though GOD is pulling back His hand of restraint, and allowing evil in this world more latitude as we approach the end, we have no fear for GOD is with us. He will never leave us or forsake us, we have victory in Christ, and can live a triumphant and victorious life through the power of GOD within us. That does not mean we can claim everything we want, or do earthly things we want to do, but it does mean we can wait on Him, serving Christ with the presence and guidance of His Spirit, and being in obedience to His Word. Then we will accomplish His will while we minister to others, disciple one another, and spread The Good News of the Gospel of grace to this lost and dying world that is still under the power and dominion of the devil and his demons.
But they can be delivered from sIn, from the kingdoms of this world, and from the one who stands in opposition to GOD but cannot win. For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus, who has already paid for your sIn on that cruel Roman cross, loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with Him that is real and personal. Believe His Word and receive Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Trust Jesus Christ for Salvation and deliverance from the evil one today.
