While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose Son is He? They say unto Him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in Spirit call Him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit Thou on My right hand, till I make Thine enemies Thy footstool? If David then call Him Lord, how is He His Son? And no man was able to answer Him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask Him any more questions. (Mat 22:41-46)
The question of the age: What think ye of Christ? Many do not think of Him at all, and others do not accept that Jesus is the Messiah, whom GOD sent. Others do not believe He is GOD, or that there are many christs. GOD tells us that without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to GOD must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. We must believe that the Jesus is the Son, and is GOD; that with the Father and the Spirit, they are one. Believe, that while different in Authority, they are each GOD and all one GOD. GOD has existed from everlasting, and those that know Him and have placed their faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary will be with Him for all eternity.
The pharisees could not recognize His Authority as the Word, nor did they believe He was the incarnate Son of GOD, who was GOD the Son, so they could not answer His question. David, a thousand years earlier, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote of the Father setting the Son on His right hand. Since the resurrection and ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, He has been at the right hand of His Father, making intercession for His saints, until He comes again to receive us unto Himself.
Until that day, because of His Authority, His Word, and the Holy Spirit within us, those of us who believe, are secure in Him. We are His ambassadors, representing His Kingdom here on earth. We are His soldiers, wrestling not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We are His ministers, reconciling lost sinners to GOD, through repentance and faith, for we are His witnesses.
GOD's people are to be about the Father's business: Ministering to the hurting and in need, discipling one another in love and in the Word, and sharing the Gospel with those around us. As we go, we share His love that others may see Jesus in us the hope of Glory, we grow in grace and love one another so all may know we are His disciples, and we tell all who will hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, that those who believe may have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
