Grace be to you and peace from GOD the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of GOD and our Father: To whom be Glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the Gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Gal 1:3-9)
As we move into Galatians we are reminded that we have peace with GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ. The Good News of the Gospel, that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, that He was buried for our offenses, and raised again for our justification if we repent of our sIn, turn to GOD, and receive Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, brings us into reconciliation with GOD. We must not lose sight of the Truth and simplicity of the Grace of GOD, with works, or laws, or any other thing that we might add to what GOD has already accomplished on that cruel Roman cross. Jesus paid it all and His grace is sufficient to satisfy GOD's justice.
While it is important to understand the Law and the Old Testament, those who are in Christ are under His new covenant of grace, not as a license to sIn, for that is still an offense against our Holy GOD, but liberty to live in Christ and to do His work and will in this world. The Law shows us our need for Christ, for we cannot keep the Law, nor does the Law save anyone, only faith by grace from GOD can save us. Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, put on flesh and went humbly and obediently to take our place and satisfy the Law's requirement for a perfect sacrifice for sIn. Those who have put on Christ have satisfied the Law in Him, and He is our rest.
That work, not to save us, or add to Salvation, or even pay any of the sIn debt He has already paid, is to minister to others that they might know the peace and grace we enjoy. We are to, as His ambassadors of the Kingdom, represent Christ Jesus to those who are hurting and in need, to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs as GOD provides. We are to disciple one another in the Word of GOD, that we may be equipped unto every good work, and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are to love one another, even as Christ loves us, and gave Himself for us, and as we go take the Gospel to every one we meet, that those who hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and believe, receiving Him by faith and repentance for forgiveness of their sIn may have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
