Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in Heaven. In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in Thy sight. All things are delivered to Me of My Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal Him. And He turned Him unto His disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see: For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. (Luke 10:20-24)
Our God has power over all things and we should only glory in what He is doing and not any of our strength, for we have none. The things God does through His people, are not for their glory, but as He wills and works through us to accomplish what He is doing, especially in reaching those who do not know Him and have not received His great Salvation through faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. The work of Christ and His disciples was not to fix people up in this life and make them better for Hell, but to save sinners and offer forgiveness to whosoever will repent and put their trust in Him. The prophecies of God promising the coming Messiah were and are fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ and those who see Him are indeed blessed.
Because of our faith in Him and our repentance of our sins, those who know Jesus Christ through His grace and power in and through us, are blessed. Though we have not seen Jesus with the eyes of the flesh, we know Him by faith and through His Spirit revealing Him through His Word. We have seen all that He is and has done through His revelation of Himself unto all who will hear and obey the words of the living God. We rejoice in His promises, His security, and His redemption of all who have repented and received Him by faith through grace. The Son of God who is God the Son, one with the Father and the Spirit of God, is indeed glorified and has purchased forgiveness and reconciliation through His obedient sacrifice on the Cross. The blessed hope which awaits all who rest in Jesus Christ is the Good News of eternal life and freely offered to all who surrender to God on His terms and believe.
God sends those of us who are His saints and know Him out into this world to reach the lost that they might be saved from sin. He desires that His people strive to be holy and obedient unto Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our God has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of God so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of God might have life in His Name.
God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. God calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with God, forgiveness from God, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is God the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
