Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of GOD in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love Him. But GOD hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of GOD. (1Co 2:6-10)
The Cross, the center point of His story, was a mystery in the Old Testament, to Israel, even His own disciples until it happened. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of GOD slain from the foundation of the world, had concealed the true significance and purpose of the Cross in figure, type and Psalm, until His finished and perfect work for our redemption was accomplished. He paid it all. No more sacrifices for sIn. No more works of merit needed. It is finished, and GOD is satisfied with the payment Jesus Christ has purchased for all who will believe and receive by faith, repenting and trusting Him for Salvation.
His finished work does not mean we can sin all we want that grace may abound, nor does it mean that true Christians don't have to work. We are at Liberty, not to sIn, but to do that which GOD tells us, and go where He sends us, to accomplish His work, in and through us. We work because of what He has already done, not to earn anything, but because of the love of GOD shed abroad in our hearts. We strive to live Holy lives, not to earn favor with GOD, for it cannot be earned, but to show ourselves as His disciples and because of what He has already done to deliver us from our sIn.
Because of His grace and His Spirit within us, we do His will and accomplish His work while we are here. We minister to others who are hurting and in need as He gives the increase. We disciple one another in the Word and love one another as His disciples, members one of another. We stand for Truth, and study His Word, searching the Scriptures that speak of Him, to know Him and grow in Him. We go out to this lost and dying world at His command, and as we go, we make disciples, teaching them the Gospel and all things He has commanded, that they may hear the Good News of Salvation and believe, and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
