Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of GOD, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that GOD was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though GOD did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to GOD. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in Him. (2Co 5:17-21)
The new birth that comes from being in Christ, having repented of sIn and received Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, makes us not only righteous in His eyes, but reconciled to our Father through Jesus Christ. We are not only in fellowship with GOD, our Creator, but also in a legally adopted relationship that cannot be undone. Christ is our rest, and our liberty, set free from the handwriting of ordinances which were against us, because everything has been paid for and settled in Him.
Now that is not a license to do what we want, or to sIn, but freedom to do His will and accomplish His work as He continues to call this lost and dying world to Himself. The work we are to do in and through Him to reach others, means we represent the Kingdom and lift up our Lord and King, that others may be drawn to GOD our Saviour. We are to continually surrender, bearing our cross, and dying daily, to self, to sin, and to this world, that the new birth that Christ has wrought in us, will also lead to growth in Him and His grace as we become more like Him and conformed to the image of His dear Son.
As we grow in the Word, the Holy Scriptures which are able to make us wise unto Salvation, which are given by Inspiration of GOD, and are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, we are throughly equipped unto all good works. We, as His ambassadors and ministers of reconciliation share His love, mercy, and grace with those who are hurting and in need, not to earn Heaven, but because of His love for and in us. We disciple one another in the Word, and love one another, even as Christ loved us, and gave Himself for us. As we go, we are to take the Gospel to everyone, that those who hear the Good News of Jesus Christ may hear, not just with their ears, but with their hearts and believe, and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
