The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh. (Isaiah 24:3-7)
A reminder to those that follow and believe that this world will not last forever. GOD has already judged it, and one day will carry out the sentence on this broken world and its people. The righteous in Christ will face Him as their Redeemer and King, and the unrepentant will face Him as their Judge. This world is broken because of sIn. When Adam defied GOD and was condemned, we died and all creation began the long slow lingering process of dying.
But, GOD in His infinite mercy extends grace to all of us who believe and will one day make all things new, even this world. He not only will give all believers everywhere a new body,but make a new heaven and new earth for us to live on. This sinful, broken world is nothing compared to what GOD has in store for those of us who believe in Him and His Word.
But, for the unbeliever who has never surrendered to GOD on His terms their fate is not so good. GOD has already judged us and proclaimed us all guilty before Him. Only those that repent and believe are born again to receive eternal life. GOD is not willing that any should perish, and wants everyone everywhere to come to the knowledge of the Truth. Receive Jesus Christ by faith in His Word and trusting Him for your salvation today.
Live in this world, but not of it that you might show forth His marvelous works to the children of men.
