And he said, I beseech thee, shew me Thy Glory. And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the Name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And He said, Thou canst not see My face: for there shall no man see Me, and live. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by Me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with My hand while I pass by: And I will take away Mmine hand, and thou shalt see My back parts: but My face shall not be seen. (Exo 33:18-23)
To see the full Glory of our GOD would slay us. Moses could not stand in the presence of the Holy GOD face to face because of his sIn and because of his natural state. GOD protected Moses, but granted him this much, that he could hide in the cleft of the rock, and be covered by the Lord as He passed by, and GOD would reveal a portion of Himself to Moses. The Lord is gracious, and allowed Moses to see only that which he could handle.
In Christ, we are hidden in the Rock, and our sIn is not just covered but taken away so that we can see GOD. We do not see with our eyes, for that would not be faith, but we see Him through His Word and through the Spirit which reveals Truth to all who seek Him. Those who receive Him by faith and trust His finished and perfect work of redemption on the Cross of Calvary have found grace in His sight and are forgiven: not by our works, but by His grace and power. Not to sIn anymore, but to live a life of Holiness to the Lord, as He lives in us and accomplishes His work of grace in us.
The people of GOD are now to take His message of Hope to those that are without. We are not to hangout at the "hospital" but go out into the fields which are white unto harvest. We are not to relax in the "rec room", but go and tell of His mercy and forgiveness. We are not to congregate on a "cruise ship", but answer the battle stations call on GOD's battleship. GOD calls us to ministry, to be His ambassadors. GOD commands us to discipleship, that we may grow in Him. GOD commissions us to, as we go, take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who do not know GOD, that they may hear the Good News, and believe, and in believing might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD is Holy and must punish sIn, but in His mercy GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
