And GOD said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And GOD made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. (Gen 1:6-8)
On the second day, GOD made an atmosphere for His creation. All of His creative acts are pointing toward His final act of creation. First He created time, space, and matter, then added the light spectrum, now He creates air and separates the water below from whatever water was above. While this arrangement of water and atmosphere no longer exists, and we don't know exactly what the water above was, GOD said what He did, and we trust Him, His ways, and His purposes.
Because of sIn, and the curse we brought upon all creation, this world is no longer what it once was. But for those that know Jesus Christ, the creator of all, and the redeemer of those who put their faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary for forgiveness and Salvation, we will be with Him when He restores all things to their perfect state once again. In that glorious day, all things will be renewed, and their will be no more sIn and separation from GOD. All believers will be with Christ for all eternity, and those who have rejected GOD and the Good News of mercy and grace through the shed blood of Jesus Christ will be cast out.
But, GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and trust His payment for your sIn on that cruel Roman cross and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Just as He has power to create, He has the power to cleanse you from all unrighteousness and reconcile you to Himself if you receive Him and be born again.
