The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sIn. The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want. The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death. GOD knows our hearts. He knows what we truly feel, and think, and desire. He knows that deep down we want to do that which is sinful and in opposition to Him.
He also knows what motivates us, and to accomplish His Will He directs or allows it. His greatest will and desire is for us to repent, surrender and receive Him and then do as He would; in every thought, word, and deed.
Our Lord Jesus knows that our hearts will deceive us, and unless we are led by the Spirit of GOD, through the Word of GOD we will be led astray and not do the Will of GOD. GOD wants us instead to follow Him, do what's right, and be blessed. We have the choice; life or death. Much of the Proverbs has been about choices and contrasts. GOD gives us life; for He is Life. We, in Adam, chose death and now GOD calls everyone to Himself, to repent and surrender that we might be saved.
If you don't know Him come to Him today,; and if you are one of His, tell someone of what Jesus is doing for you today.
