God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and He hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath He seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; He hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. (Num. 23:19-22)
Balak wanted a curse, but Balaam blessed Israel and praised God for His mighty hand in delivering Israel from Egypt. Balaam was told to speak that which God gave him and not his own word. Balaam, despite the request of Balak to curse Israel, blessed God and Israel in several discourses and oracles. He lifted up the character and nature of God and Israel as God’s people. Balak was repeatedly stymied in his attempts to offer pagan sacrifices and produce a curse upon the children of Israel and people of God as Balaam offered them to the one true God and blessed Israel.
Because He has taken our sin upon Himself, Jesus Christ has turned the curse of sin and death into a blessing of forgiveness and reconciliation with the Father for all those who repent of their sins and put their trust in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. The God who cannot lie has promised forgiveness to all who repent and come to Him on His terms in complete surrender to Him. The God who made the rhinoceros (unicorn) has the strength and power to accomplish all that He has promised. The God who delivered Israel out of Egypt will deliver those who repent and receive Him by faith from the curse and judgment of sin, not to continue in sin but to go and sin no more, living the eternal and abundant life which Jesus came to bring us.
God has sent those of us that know Him out into this world to reach the lost that they might be saved from sin. He desires that His people strive to be holy and obedient unto Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our GOD has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.
GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
