What I do thou knowest not now but thou shalt know hereafter

Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with Me hath lifted up his heel against Me. Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am He. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth Me; and he that receiveth Me receiveth Him that sent Me. (Joh 13:13-20)
Our Lord served His servants as a demonstration of what servant leadership should mean to us and how we should serve one another, humbly, willingly, and without grumbling. Not as lords, for we have one Lord, Jesus Christ, but considering one another and in meekness meeting the needs of those we serve: in ministry, in discipleship, and in evangelism. Not for glory, for all glory belongs to Him who is worthy. Not for gain, for He will provide all our needs and He will never leave us or forsake us. We are to serve because He served us, and gave His life a ransom for many.

Jesus Christ was sent by the Father to be the sacrifice for sIn, that all who receive Him by faith should be saved from their sIn. He lived a sinless life, in complete obedience to the Father in fulfillment of the Holy Scriptures, and went humbly and willingly to the Cross of Calvary to meet our greatest need of forgiveness and Salvation. He who knew no sIn was made sIn for us, that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in Him. Christ hath sent the Spirit to guide us into all Truth and empower us to live in Him and do His will and work in this world.

He sends us to tell all who will hear the Gospel message of peace and reconciliation with the Father. We are to go to the nations, and tell every one of His love for the whole world, that those who hear may believe and repent may receive a new life without the penalty of sIn, the presence of the Holy Spirit to overcome the power of sIn, until He takes us Home to be with Him and away from the presence of sIn.

Until that day, we who are born again by our faith in Him are to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need that they may see Jesus in us, the hope of Glory. Until He is finished with us, we who know Him and are partakers of His Heavenly calling are to disciple one another in His Word until we grow up into the full measure of Him who sent us. Until we have finished our course, we who have heard the Gospel and believed are to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world that those who repent and believe in Him may receive eternal life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.

In Christ,
Jefferson Sweet
