What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with GOD? GOD forbid.

Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth He yet find fault? For who hath resisted His will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against GOD? Shall the thing formed say to Him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if GOD, willing to shew His wrath, and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom He hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? (Rom 9:19-24)
We might wonder about GOD's sovereignty, for His ways are above our ways, and His thoughts are higher than ours, but for the child of GOD, we are to trust Him, study His Word to learn more of Him, and know that GOD is in control. We are to prayerfully search the Scriptures, for they speak of Him, and understand that He has a plan for us, and for those that are His, because of the Salvation that GOD alone can provide, He has work for us to do. He is GOD, and with Him there is no variableness, or shadow of turning.

He could have simply made us with no free-will, and rigged things so we were destined for Heaven or Hell, with no choice in the matter, like the angels and demons. He could have cast us all aside, when He judged Adam guilty of sIn, and allowed all humanity to die in their sins. But, our GOD is not that kind of GOD, capricious and without compassion. Our GOD is a GOD of mercy, and has made us to respond to Him in faith, for we are the work of His hands, and His love for us is so great and wonderful, that despite our sIn, He came to this world as a man, and put to death the flesh, that we might be made righteous in Him.

He knows that we are weak vessels, and He knows our sIn, and its destruction and death, that's why He took on sIn, though He had no sIn of His own, to pay the penalty for sIn that we could not pay, and offer us forgiveness and reconciliation with our Holy GOD through our repentance and faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. He has mercy on whom He wills, because He is our sovereign Lord, but extends His mercy and love to all who will repent and believe.

That is our message, that is our purpose, that is our mission. We are to go and tell, to minister in mercy to those around us, and to love one another because He first loved us. We are to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, and who died for the sins of the whole world according to the Scriptures, but did not stay dead, but arose again on the third day according to the Scriptures, and is now sitting on the right hand of GOD the Father. GOD's people are on mission for Him, as His ambassadors, to
visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep ourselves unspotted from the world. We are to grow in grace as we disciple one another in the Word of GOD. As we go, we are to take the Gospel we live to this lost and dying world, that they might hear and believe, and in believing have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.

In Christ,
Jefferson Sweet
