This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the Law, or by the hearing of faith? Even as Abraham believed GOD, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that GOD would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the Gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. (Gal 3:2-9)
Believers in Christ, grafted into the family of GOD have the righteousness of GOD imputed to us by grace through faith which cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of GOD. We are not under the Law, though we do the works of the Law, not for Salvation, but in love and obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Sovereign King, and our rest, and in whom we have our being. His Spirit is within us, as the earnest of our final redemption and glorification when we are with Him, and empowers us to live for, in, and through Him and for His glory.
The grace that we have received is not a license to sIn, for we have been redeemed from sIn, it is liberty to live in Christ and freedom from the penalty of sin. We are to do His work in this world, not of it, nor spotted by it, for His Spirit gives the power to resist the power of sin, until that final day when even the presence of sin will be removed. We are to grow in Him, and become more like Jesus as we study from His Word. We are to minister to others, as His ambassadors, so that they may see Jesus in us, the Hope of Glory. We are to proclaim the Gospel wherever we go, and as we go, make disciples who hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and believe, repenting of their sin and putting their trust in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary that they might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
