And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour. (Est 6:2-3, 11)
Little did he realize that not only his circumstances but, as his wife correctly stated, his very life was in jeopardy when facing the Jews. They did not realize that God Himself fought for the Jews and only those on His side would prevail. God was already calling attention to the fact that things would not go well for Haman, yet Haman did not see the trouble he was in. His anger was so focused on Mordecai, and now doubly so because of his humiliation in honouring Mordecai, that he would put the method of his own demise into motion when he returned to the dinner with Esther.
Often when we are not recognized in this life for that which we do for others. No matter what our job and career may be, there are many times which we are not noticed. Yet, God knows everything, from not only what we do, but also the attitude of our heart when we do them. He has said He will never leave us nor forsake us. There is coming a time when all will be revealed and every man will stand for his deeds. Those in Christ will be judged for that which they have done, or failed to do, and the thoughts and heart condition as we did them. Those who are not in Christ will face Him as their judge and be rejected from His presence because of their sin and rejection of Him who died that they might have eternal life by faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary.
The first time Jesus came he came as a humble servant and was honoured as the Father has given Him a Name which is above every name for His obedience unto death, even the death of the cross. When he comes again, Jesus will come, first in the clouds for His own, and then as a conquering King to rule and reign over this whole world for a thousand years. When all is done, He will gather all who are saved by grace through faith from every age unto Himself and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Until the Day of the Lord, and while we are here on this earth, our God calls His people to holiness and obedience to Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our GOD has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.
GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
