Then said Jesus again unto them, I go My way, and ye shall seek Me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. And He said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. I have many things to say and to judge of you: but He that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of Him. They understood not that He spake to them of the Father. (Joh 8:21-27)
Jesus Christ, the divine Son of GOD and GOD in the flesh, made a clear distinction between those that believed on Him and those that rejected not only His divinity but His Salvation. Those that do not trust Jesus Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary in repentance of their sins and faith in who He is and what He has already done to pay for sIn will die in their sins and face His judgment. Those that turn away from their sIn and turn to GOD in surrender to Him on His terms will be born again and translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
This is the Good News of Jesus Christ, that He came to save sinners. He paid the price for all, but not all will receive Him by faith and accept His forgiveness of their sIn. Just as these Pharisees and the other religious rulers would not believe because of their stubborn pride and self-righteousness, many today reject their need of Jesus Christ because they will not acknowledge that they are sinners and have rebelled against GOD in thought, word, and deed. GOD says that all have sinned and are guilty of death, but He sent His Son to put to death the flesh in our place, that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in Him, without which we also will die in our sins.
Those of us who have received Him by faith in who He is and what He has already done on our behalf, are called to represent Him as His ambassadors, to serve Him as we minister to those around us who are hurting and in need. We are commanded to love one another and disciple one another in love and in the Word that we might grow thereby. We are commissioned to take the Gospel from GOD's Word to this lost and dying world, and as we go, proclaim the whole counsel of GOD that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
